Special Machine Tool Branch Holds 2014 Annual Meeting

The 2014 Annual Meeting of China Machine Tool Industry Association Special Machine Tool Branch was held on November 29-30 in Yichun City, Jiangxi Province. Nearly 80 delegates from all parts of the country attended the meeting. Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of China Machine Tool & Tooling Industry Association Chen Huiren attended the meeting.

      Chen Huiren made a report on the development situation of the machine tool industry at the meeting, and also talked about the views of the industry on a number of issues: First, market segments. The first is to increase the intensity of the market segments, the second is to have a breadth, the third is to have depth, deepening the market segment is a qualitative upgrade, take the path of structural upgrading, to establish the concept of market specialization rather than product specialization . Second, hard issues and soft issues. Hard means the ability, the means, the talent, etc. These are not much different from foreign countries. Soft refers to the system, culture, environment, etc. The gap is larger, and the gap between soft issues is an essential issue. Third, the issue of homogeneity is prominent and lacks differentiation. To make their own characteristics, do not care about the high-end low-end. Fourth, we must cross two "canons." A "can" is the current high-end products can do, but far from doing a good job; there is a "can" is the market share, these two "hurries" are not good. Fifth, the manufacturing industry should actively integrate with the network.

      Ye Jun, Chairman of the Special Machine Tool Branch, made a report on “Operations of the Electric Processing Industry in 2014”. The industry operation presents the following characteristics: First, the electrical processing industry has been sluggish for four consecutive years, but the decline has narrowed. From the sales statistics of 28 key enterprises, the year-on-year comparisons between 2014 and 2013 have decreased, but the overall decline has narrowed; from a month-on-month perspective, according to the situation reflected by various companies, the fourth quarter is not optimistic and will continue to decline; The demand for high-end electric processing machine tools is relatively stable, and the sales accounted for more than 70%; the number of sales of CNC EDM machines, one-way wire cutting machines, and CNC-specific electric machine tools accounted for 28% in January-September 2014. 67.7%; Third, the market demand for low-end electric machine tools continues to shrink. The proportion of sales of ordinary EDM machines and wire-cutting wire-cutting machine tools continued to decline. Fourth, sales of CNC machine tools, such as machining centers, CNC milling and engraving and milling machines, rose sharply in 2014, but Yingtuo produced 1,683 units. In 2013, more than 1,100 units were added, other companies did not rise and fell; Fifth, the market demand for international electric machine tools declined. From January to September of 2014 and from January to September of 2013, the export volume decreased by 19% and the export volume decreased by 34.4%.

The report also pointed out that in the past few years, the electric processing industry has continued to slump, and companies cannot place their hopes on waiting. They feel that “one thing” can be passed.
